Billeaud Companies Breaks Ground on new Broussard Locations
The Broussard Chamber of Commerce, One Acadiana, The Broussard Economic Development Corporation and several Broussard City Council Members recently helped the Billeaud Companies Board of Directors break ground on their newest development. Billeaud Companies will own and operate a new 10,000 square foot facility that will house the latest locations of Lourdes AfterHours and CC’s Coffee House.

This new building, in the very early stages of construction, is located on St. Nazaire Rd in Broussard on the last remaining Walmart Outparcel. The location is near the Intersection with US Hwy 90 and between Walgreens and Smoothie King. This building will be another addition to the company’s Sugarcrest Retail development and the St. Nazaire Retail Corridor.
With locations in Carencro, Lafayette, Breaux Bridge and now Broussard later this year, Lourdes AfterHours provides walk-in care for minor injuries and illnesses after normal business hours. Lourdes established these clinics to provide families with easy access to board certified physicians and prompt medical care on weeknights, weekends and holidays. Lourdes AfterHours will be providing a much needed service to families in and around the Broussard, Youngsville and St Martin Parish Area.
CC’s Coffee House is coming to Broussard thanks to an aggressive growth plan. The Louisiana Company plans to expand from its current 33 locations to 50 by the end of this year and triple the size of the company in the next 3 to 5 years. This new Broussard location follows openings recently in Lake Charles, Monroe, Gretna, Harahan and New Orleans. Broussard will join new Lafayette Parish openings recently in Youngsville and Carencro. CC’s Mission is to “be a welcoming, comforting presence in every community we serve and anywhere else we happen to show up”. We can’t wait for CC’s Coffee House to show up right here in Broussard later this year.
The location, home to Walmart, Home Depot, Raising Canes, Verizon Wireless, Rotolo’s Pizza, Bankcorp South and numerous other retailers, Sugarcrest continues to grow as the area rapidly develops. Most notable on the immediate horizon for the area is the opening, later this spring, of St Julien Park, the state of the art City of Broussard Sports Complex. Located just down St Nazaire from Sugarcrest Retail Center, St Julien Park is a $36 Million investment on 136 Acres and boasting just short of 1 million square feet of artificial turf in its new baseball and soccer fields.
Broussard and South Lafayette Parish continues to see a great deal of expansion and growth. New schools, roads and residential neighborhoods are coming to the area to meet this growth. Look for Billeaud Companies to continue to provide developments that meet the needs of this bustling community.
