Nancy D. Zembower was recently elected to fill the vacancy of the seat held by Charles A. “Chuck” Billeaud on the Billeaud Companies Board of Directors. Chuck served as Chairman of the Board for the period of twelve years, during which time Billeaud Companies prospered.
Nancy is a member of the Charles Billeaud family branch. She is the daughter of Leona Billeaud deGravelle and the granddaughter of Charles Billeaud. She was born and reared in New Iberia. She graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Lafayette) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She taught for three years before making the decision to be a stay-at-home mom until her sons, Todd, and Kevin, reached school age, after which time she assumed the position of office manager of her husband’s (Gayle’s) architectural firm.
Nancy is a member of several civic organizations, was a Eucharistic Minister for 12 years, is a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul, served as President of Auxiliary of the Southwest Louisiana Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and was a previous member of Billeaud Companies Board of Directors. Her greatest joy is spending time with family.
