attended St. Cecilia Catholic School through elementary and high school.
Upon graduation, she attended Southwestern Louisiana Institute (presently
ULL) for two years, then went to Our Lady of the Lake University in San
Antonio, Texas, graduating with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree.
Yvonne was a Music Supervisor in Lafayette Parish until her marriage in 1946
and then moved to Lake Charles in 1951 where she studied business, and
worked as a Committee Secretary for the Association of Commerce, from
where she retired to be an "at home" mother. She was a rehearsal pianist and
also pianist for the Junior League Follies and Cabaret. Yvonne was on the
Board of Directors of the Billeaud Companies in Lafayette Parish until her
retirement in 1986. She was a member of and held board and officer positions
with the Lake Charles Genealogical Society. Yvonne was a parishioner of St.
Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church and was a 15 year member of the Come
Lord Jesus Society.

a gifted pianist. It was very rare, at social and family gatherings, that she
wasn't asked to play and was always gracious and accommodating. Being
outgoing and enthusiastic, Mom would always extend herself to others and
she never met a stranger. Her greatest joy in life was to be at family functions
with her beloved husband, children and grandchildren with their spouses, and
great grandchildren.
