Walmart and Home Depot started the Retail Boom for Broussard, Louisiana. Both companies moved to the area on Billeaud Companies Property, along US Highway 90 and St. Nazaire. Billeaud Companies have developed outparcels and other retail centers in this area; this development has helped put Broussard on the map with national retail chains.
